it DOES seem like a clean slate --- in every which way.

today i woke up to sun -- gifties from dear becca on our doorstep and Mom driving over her pancit malabon for me to eat for good luck today ---

speaking of clean slate --- we wiped my hard drive clean and uploaded a new OS for this computer --- it's been acting SO pms-y the last week --- i HAVE kept up with taking pics AND movies --- but only TODAY have i been able to properly post..so FAR so good --- it's been ON all day --- and has yet to crash, KNOCK on wood.

and as my dear love said today -- we're going to have fun doing what we love this year ...

(and i'm going to take it in STRIDE the fact that the IBOOK i love --- seems to have gone kaput --- and take it NOT as a sign it's going to be a bad new year or that i should give UP on my project ...DAMN, 2007 is GOING TO ROCK) ... off on a road trip w/ my Art, taking pics, spending time w/my LOVE, having sushi, taking more pics later tonight AND toasting in the NEW YEAR ... BUT:

How was YOUR 2006? ME? I'm TOUGHER, more DETERMINED, and LOVED.

1) HIGH POINTS OF THE YEAR?
a) my love loving me, it being beigin (though i can't spell it), and my mom surviving her kidney transplant
b) turning 39 and starting my project

2) LOW POINT OF THE YEAR?
a) not feeling good and thinking it may be malignant
b) the 4 hours in the waiting room by myself in the PI'S

3) BEST HOLIDAY?
a) my birthday, and yes it IS a holiday AND a week long, hmmph.
b) thanksgiving ---b'cause craig and tiff were in DA house!

in TRYING to save a week's worth of work on disc --- i seemed to have "lost" it all.

i was stressed, then sad, then angry.

but --- i sit here now, chalking it up to a life lesson learned.

i have some photos on flickr and some video on you tube ... and of course here on my blog --- and for me that's the savings grace.

IF i has lost a YEAR'S worth of work --- that would have been HARDER for me to overcome.

i will ask my dear husband for help, i will be more careful, and i will back UP.

today is the start of my project "Living At 39" --- which this blog is a part of.

quite simply, it's the last year of my 30's (ohgawd), and I am going to "document" everygoshdamnday here, in my visual journal ( old fashioned writing & collage-ing), taking photos ( polaroid AND digi-cam), filming ( digi-cam), and sketching ( ohgawd) ...

my 38th year was. hard. but i felt like i "missed" it, if you know what i mean.

this year, good, bad, and everything in between --- i'm savoring.
